The TR2 2″ Tiny Sharp Owl Eyes Pod Lights
Compact in size yet built for serious throw, the TR2 “Owl Eyes” packs two 15-watt OSRAM KW CSLPM1 emitters into a rugged 2-inch pod. The deep, highly polished reflectors concentrate light into a tight hot spot for long-range visibility, while the housing and electrical system are designed to run reliably on both 12 V and 24 V vehicles. Verified figures back up the performance: 7460 lux at 6.2 m for the white spot with a calculated 1-lux reach of 491 m, and 3710 lux at 6.2 m for the yellow spot with a 1-lux reach of 332 m. Actual luminous output is 1509 lm ±10% from a 30 W ±10% input. Color temperature for the white version is 6000 K ±500 K. Working voltage is 12–24 V DC with a draw of about 2.07 A at 13.5 V, and ingress protection is IP67. The unit size is 4.76 × 3.46 × 3.35 inches, and the warranty is 2 years.
Hyper-Spot Beam for Long-Distance Seeing
The TR2 is engineered around a true thrower optic. Each side uses a deep, mirror-finish cup to compress the LED’s output into a narrow core with controlled spill. On the road or trail, that translates into crisp center illumination and useful down-range detail, which is exactly what the lux measurements reflect. When you need to read terrain or road markings far ahead without flooding near foreground, this beam shape brings the reach.
High-Intensity OSRAM 15 W LEDs
At the heart of the light are two OSRAM KW CSLPM1 chips. These emitters are known for high candela per watt and tight color uniformity, which helps the TR2 create a clean, vivid hotspot without artifacts. The design choice here favors intensity and distance, so the light stays punchy even through light mist or dust.
Intelligent Temperature Controller
Inside the module is a temperature management circuit that monitors the LED board and regulates drive current. When heat builds during stalled airflow or slow crawling, the controller trims output just enough to protect the LEDs and driver. As soon as temperatures fall, power automatically recovers. This preserves output over time and supports real-world durability.
Deep Design for Optics
The reflector set is intentionally deep relative to the 2-inch face. This geometry is what forms the TR2’s signature pencil-beam. The cups are precision-stamped and vacuum-metallized to keep the cutoff crisp and the beam round. The result is a concentrated spot that helps drivers pick out trail ruts, street signs, and animals at distance.
Customizable Decorative Ring Colors
The “Owl Eyes” front ring is a replaceable trim piece. Multiple color options are shown, including purple, blue, green, red, and the signature yellow. Swapping the ring lets shops and builders match vehicle accents without touching the optics or seals, giving each install a tailored finish.
Hardened PC Front Window
The front cover is a hardened polycarbonate that resists chipping from gravel and debris. It is clear, tough, and lighter than glass at the same thickness, which helps the pod survive washboard roads and occasional impacts while maintaining optical clarity.
Covers Optional: Black and Yellow Included by Default
Protective face covers are available for different looks and use cases. By default, the TR2 comes with both a black cover and a yellow cover in the box. These snap on and off quickly, providing cosmetic protection when parked or a fast way to add a yellow face to coordinate with other lights.
Robust Construction and Efficient Cooling
The housing is a heavy-duty aluminum alloy with strengthening ribs and directional fins. This structure resists vibration on off-road vehicles and promotes airflow across the heat sink during motion. The design focus is reliability: solid mounting ears, corrosion-resistant hardware, and a sealed rear interface that shields the driver and board from moisture and dust.
IP67 Waterproof
Every interface is sealed to meet IP67. The TR2 withstands rainstorms, water spray, and dusty jobsites, and it can tolerate short-term immersion. This makes the pod a dependable add-on for daily work trucks, UTVs, and overland builds that encounter weather.
Light Type Advantage: White and Yellow Spots
Two beam color options cover different driving conditions. The white spot centers on maximum reach and crisp detail, reflected by the higher lux and longer 1-lux distance. The yellow spot trades a bit of reach for better definition in fog, rain, or snow by reducing back-glare. Side-by-side beam photos show the tighter, brighter hotspot of the TR2 compared with generic lights, underscoring the thrower intent.
Installation Positions
The small 2-inch form factor and adjustable bracket let the TR2 mount in many locations: UTV roof bars, front bumpers, A-pillars, motorcycle or ATV fairings, and pickup grille gaps. The compact body makes it easy to run pairs or clustered arrays without crowding other equipment.
Dimensions and Mounting Reference
A technical drawing at the end of the sheet provides face width, depth, and mount height so installers can pre-plan clearances. With the 4.76 × 3.46 × 3.35-inch envelope and a single foot-mount, aiming and wiring are straightforward on most brackets and tabs.
The TR2 2″ Pod is a purpose-built long-range auxiliary: deep optics for a true hyper-spot, OSRAM drive for intensity, smart thermal control for stability, rugged aluminum and hardened PC for longevity, IP67 sealing for weather, and flexible styling with colored rings and covers. If you need compact lights that actually reach, these “Owl Eyes” deliver distance and dependability for work and trail use.
