23 SMD LEDs for Automotive Signal Lighting
The CN360 2FT Series 1157 dual brightness LED signal bulbs combine 4014 SMD and 3030 SMD technology in a compact aluminum assembly. Each bulb contains 23 LEDs, consisting of 18 pieces of 4014 SMD and 5 pieces of 3030 SMD. The LED layout places light sources around the body and at the front of the bulb, providing illumination from multiple positions within the lamp housing.
Available in white, yellow, and red, the range offers three light color choices with individual output ratings. Listed applications include daytime running lights and brake lights, subject to the appropriate color and compatible vehicle fitment. The 1157 version also supports high and low brightness operation for lamp circuits designed to use these two levels.
Protective Front Lampshade
A protective lampshade covers the forward-facing LED area at the tip of the bulb. This cover forms part of the lighting head and helps protect the front light sources from direct contact. The surrounding LEDs remain arranged around the body, creating the characteristic appearance of the 2FT lighting assembly.
The front cover, LED positions, and vehicle lamp housing all contribute to the final appearance of the illuminated lamp. The reflector and lens should therefore be considered alongside the bulb specification when selecting a replacement for a particular lighting position.
Aluminum Body with Ventilation Openings
The 2FT Series uses an aluminum body with ventilation openings incorporated into the housing. The aluminum structure supports heat transfer away from the lighting assembly, while the openings form part of the bulb's heat dissipation design. These cooling features are integrated into the body beneath the LED head.
The housing connects the lighting section to the bulb base in one compact unit. Available space around the body and clearance beneath the lamp cover should be checked as part of fitment. A matching socket and sufficient housing space are both needed for the bulb to sit correctly in the intended lamp assembly.
1157 Base with Two Brightness Levels
The 1157 base connects the bulb to a compatible vehicle lamp holder. High brightness operation has a specified input current of 550 ± 40 mA at 12V, while low brightness operation is specified at 110 ± 20 mA at 12V. These separate current ratings describe the two operating levels of this version.
The operating voltage range is DC 9–18V. How the two brightness levels are used depends on the vehicle's lamp circuit and wiring. Check the original bulb designation and electrical arrangement when selecting a replacement, so the base and operating modes match the intended application.
White, Yellow, and Red Light Options
The white version has a listed luminous flux of 600 lm, the yellow version 450 lm, and the red version 83 lm. These figures are specific to each color. All three versions share the same specified combination of 18 pieces of 4014 SMD and 5 pieces of 3030 SMD, together with the high and low brightness current ratings.
Select the light color to suit the original lamp function and lens. Daytime running and brake light applications require the appropriate color and compatible fitment; each available color is not suitable for every listed function. Checking the lamp position, socket, electrical operation, and housing clearance together helps identify the appropriate 2FT Series 1157 bulb for the vehicle.
