23 SMD LEDs in a Compact Signal Bulb
The CN360 2FT Series 3156 LED signal bulbs combine 4014 SMD and 3030 SMD technology in a compact aluminum assembly. Each bulb contains 23 LEDs: 18 pieces of 4014 SMD and 5 pieces of 3030 SMD. This combination forms the lighting core of the 2FT design, with LEDs positioned around the body and at the front of the bulb.
The range is available in white, yellow, and red. Listed applications include back-up lights and rear fog lights, depending on the selected color and vehicle fitment. The 3156 base identifies the socket format, while the original lamp position determines which function and light color are appropriate for the vehicle.
Protective Front Lampshade
A protective lampshade covers the LED area at the front of the bulb. It forms the tip of the lighting assembly and shields the forward-facing light sources from direct contact. The front cover works alongside the LEDs arranged around the body, bringing the different lighting surfaces together within a single bulb head.
This arrangement allows light to leave the bulb from multiple positions. The final appearance inside the vehicle lamp also depends on the reflector, lens, and housing geometry. Matching the bulb to the intended lamp assembly helps ensure that its physical shape and light color suit the original lighting position.
Aluminum Body with Ventilation Openings
The 2FT Series features an aluminum body with ventilation openings built into the housing. Aluminum provides a path for heat to move away from the lighting assembly, while the openings support heat dissipation around the body. Both elements are integrated into the bulb structure.
The metal housing surrounds the assembly below the LED head and connects it to the base. When checking fitment, consider the complete bulb shape, the space around the housing, and the clearance needed to refit the lamp cover. Socket compatibility and available space should both be checked against the original bulb.
3156 Base and Electrical Specifications
This 2FT version uses a 3156 base with electrical contacts arranged for a matching bulb holder. The base forms the connection between the vehicle socket and the LED assembly. Confirming the original bulb designation is the starting point for selecting the correct replacement.
The specified operating range is DC 9–18V, and input current is 540 ± 40 mA at 12V. These values apply to the 3156 bulbs in this range. The voltage range and current specification should be considered together with the vehicle's lamp circuit when checking suitability for a particular application.
Three Light Colors with Individual Output Ratings
The white bulb is rated at 585 lm, the yellow bulb at 350 lm, and the red bulb at 93 lm. Each output figure belongs to its respective color. All three versions share the specified 23-LED configuration, combining 18 pieces of 4014 SMD with 5 pieces of 3030 SMD.
Choose the color according to the original lamp function and the vehicle's lighting requirements. Back-up and rear fog applications require an appropriate color and compatible lamp assembly; the available colors are not interchangeable across every position. The lens color should also be considered when selecting the bulb. Checking the original socket, lamp function, and housing clearance together provides a clear basis for choosing the suitable 2FT Series 3156 bulb.
