36mm Festoon Lighting for Interior and License Plate Lamps

The CN360 K6 Series 36mm CANbus LED festoon bulb offers white light for compatible reading, license plate, trunk, and vanity mirror lamps. The 36 mm format uses metal contacts at both ends, with the LED board positioned between them. Its length should match the original bulb and the spacing of the vehicle's lamp holder.

With a rated power of 2 W and a listed luminous flux of 210 lm, this bulb brings a defined white lighting output to suitable compact lamp assemblies. The 180° beam angle directs light across the area facing the LED board. The lamp lens and reflector then influence how that light reaches the cabin, storage area, or license plate.

Six LEDs on a Compact Lighting Board

The lighting section contains six 3020 SMD LEDs arranged on the front surface of the board. This layout groups the emitters within the festoon body, creating a compact source for the intended lamp position. Rear Heat Sink with Cooling Fins

A finned heat sink is positioned behind the LED board to support heat dissipation. The fin structure provides additional surface area within the bulb's compact form. Together, the lighting board and rear cooling section create an integrated assembly between the two end contacts.

The depth of the heat sink is part of the overall fitment check. Confirm that the lamp housing has space behind the bulb and that its cover closes normally. A correct length matches the holder, while sufficient clearance allows the full assembly to sit in its intended position.

Regulated LED Operation and CANbus Design

The built-in constant current IC helps regulate current supplied to the LED array. This 36 mm version operates within DC 9–16V and has a specified input current of 150 ± 10 mA. The driver forms part of the bulb itself, keeping the electrical control components within the festoon assembly.

The K6 also incorporates a CANbus-oriented design for compatible monitored lighting circuits. Vehicle bulb checks and lamp controls differ, so fitment should include confirming the electrical behavior of the intended circuit. Check normal illumination and any dashboard lamp warning after installation, using the vehicle's usual lighting controls.

Non-Polar Fitment for Four Lamp Applications

The non-polar design allows either end to connect to the positive side of a compatible holder. This simplifies the electrical connection while leaving the LED face free to be directed toward the lens or target area. Both metal ends should make secure contact with the holder.
